Pinnacle founders Stan Harrelson and John Goodman have been actively giving back to the Seattle community since their business partnership began.
As the Pinnacle companies expanded their geographic scope across the United States and internationally, Harrelson and Goodman expanded their philanthropic scope as well.
Given their background in the housing industry it was only natural that they would focus their giving in four basic areas: housing, education/personal development, health/well being and community development.
The Pinnacle Foundation, a 501c3 organization formed in 1998, provides assistance to people affected by economic and health issues and major weather-related hardships. This assistance ranges from covering insurance deductibles to buying supplies - whatever families need to regain stability and basic comfort in their everyday lives.
The Pinnacle Foundation does not raise funds or solicit donations. Rather, the foundation uses private funds to foster a greater sense of engagement in the community and support the good work of others.
The Pinnacle Foundation also encourages self-sufficiency. Donations to "micro loan" programs enable women to create businesses so they can support their families and develop a sense of pride and purpose.
Growth and purpose are cultivated at Boys and Girls Clubs of America, an organization the Pinnacle Foundation actively supports. The clubs provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk children.
